So, today we went to the Gilroy Garlic Festival. It was pretty much a glorified Horned Toad Derby without rides. It was about 100 degrees--no joke--and we were sweating bullets, yuck. Just a word of advice--don't go, (unless you just have to try garlic ice-cream.) The highlight of our trip was the big band concert in the evening, IN THE SHADE! By that time a breeze had picked up and we were sitting so it felt pretty refreshing. Madeline took off her flip flops and went searching for treasures in the dirt, (i.e. rocks and sticks). All in all, it was an experience. (Forgot the camera--too bad, you could have seen pics of Miss Madeline absolutely covered in dust!)
